We need your help...
An Introduction
The MRCC needs people like you to help us care for horses like Gentle Gambler here. Whilst being used as a brood mare she was starved and kept in a garage until her owners found her. This loving mare was gifted to the centre and is now enjoying life hacking around the beautiful countryside.
The MRCC is the first registered charity in the Midlands to take in ex-racehorses. We receive no government or lottery funding. We receive no help from the British Horse Racing Board and their grant body ROR. We rely entirely on voluntary donations.
Your kindness can literally mean life or death for horses. We need more funding so that we can help horses avoid a bleak future of neglect or slaughter. Not only do we rehome and retrain, we're dedicated to researching what happens to horses when they leave racing.
We believe that horse slaughter in the UK should be stopped. We're currently embarking on a research project to find out just how many horses from the racing industry meet this gruesome end.
Please have a look at how you can get involved. Help us make their future a safe bet.
