Every year over 15,000 horses are bred in the UK and Ireland for racing and 5000 leave the track in this country. Where do they all go? Track Horses, is an initiative set up by the MRCC to find out exactly what happens to horses in the U.K when their racing days are over.

We want to hear from anyone who attends horse auctions regularly or works in one. All we require you to do is take down the name of any

ex-racehorses and find out as much about it's past as possible and about it's destination. Take a note pad and pen and log the information and send it to us.

We are also interested to hear from stable lads or lasses, even if you've left racing. What happens or happened to the horses in your yard? Are you an ex-jockey or trainer. If you have a story then get in touch.  Be as specific as you can with dates and horses names, trainers, area etc. However, if you don't know all the details we still want to hear from you!

All the information collected will be logged onto our database and collated into research so that we can gage how many horses have a happy retirement and how many don't.

Calls or corespondence will remain annonymous at your request.

Please get on board and do your bit! Together we can make sure that racehorses in this country get the retirement they deserve.
